The Spaghetti Factory is a curatorial project by Eve Cromwell and Jenny Mc Namara (and sometimes other people we collaborate with)
We take an experimental approach to space through our exhibitions and projects. We started Spaghetti Factory in our house in Central Newcastle in April 2018, as a series of eight solo show exhibitions. The project has since expanded across the North East to include guest curation, workshops and collaborative programming. Now we work satellite alongside other artists, arts organisations and universities. Organisations we've worked with include Sunderland Museum, Newcastle Contemporary Art, BALTIC39, The Auxiliary, Middlesbrough Art Week, 36 Lime Street and The NewBridge Project. In 2021, we were awarded a Journal Culture Award for Best Cultural Newcomer by The Northern School of Art. The Spaghetti Factory is a grassroots project and is driven by artist support networks. We aim to work with artists at the start of their practice and show a range of experimental work that excites us.
